How to choose a mattress for your child’s bed

Sleep plays an extremely important role in a child’s life. It is of great importance for the proper functioning of the nervous system, improves brain efficiency and has a positive effect on memory. Children under the age of 13 spend about a dozen hours a day sleeping, which is why it is so important to ensure adequate comfort and proper sleep hygiene.

The mattress is obviously of key importance when it comes to sleep comfort. According to the recommendations, the length of a child’s mattress should be at least 20 cm longer than their height. However, when choosing a child’s bed and mattress, it is worth bearing in mind that children grow very quickly. If the child is little, it is a good idea to go for a much larger mattress straight away, so that you can be sure it will last for many years.
